The Georges bag, made in Italy, is named after the brand's founder, Georges Carel, and is part of the brand's leather goods line. Inspired by an archive, its shape resembles a book, echoing our history: in the 1950s, Carel opened its very first boutique on Boulevard Saint-Michel, just a stone's throw from the Sorbonne. The first customers were students and professors from the mythical Parisian university. Since then, Carel has maintained a special connection with the academic world, and particularly with literature: we like to imagine the Carel woman as erudite and literary, intellectual, but always with a touch of humor. For her, it's the ideal bag.
