Carel showcases its pop and design heritage!
For the Italian designer Andrea Branzi, pop is a joyful response to the failure of modernism: a free language, born from disorder and life (1972).
Conceived as true living spaces, Carel boutiques pay homage to Andrée Putman through an iconic black, white, and orange checkerboard pattern. They blend major references in design and architecture—from Archizoom and Ettore Sottsass to Guy Lefevre, Thomas Viels, and Baptiste and Jaina—in a bold and graphic universe. Works of art, lighting, ceramics, and paintings engage in a dialogue with iconic Carel pieces, vintage finds, and contemporary collections. Visitors will find Carel icons dating back to 1952, rare vintage pieces, as well as contemporary drops in shoes, leather goods, and accessories.

These references act as catalysts for stories that blend reality and fiction. The diverse possibilities offered by materials, particularly ceramics, allow the duo to explore the interplay between form, texture, and light. The everyday object becomes a medium for evocation, imbued with a magical realism.
