The Fire Horse

For the Lunar New Year, Carel presents a photographic project by Matthieu Quatravaux, carried out in the cities of Guilin, Yangshuo and Guangzhou, in China.

Between landscapes and portraits, this photoshoot celebrates the New Year of the Fire Horse as a sensitive dialogue between French heritage and Chinese cultures. At the heart of the images, a red horse crafted in France embodies connection, transmission, and renewal.

Photographed and printed using a completely analog process, this project gives birth to an intimate, transgenerational and timeless work, where fashion becomes a universal language.
